Urban ReLeaf is featured as a case study in European Committee of the Regions – New European Bauhaus (NEB) report ‘The New European Bauhaus at the local and regional level’.
The report describes the pivotal role played by local and regional authorities in driving inclusive, green urban transitions.
It highlights Urban ReLeaf and our six pilot cities, drawing attention to three local and regional areas, and providing a detailed description of the municipality of Mannheim (Germany), from its strategic action-oriented 2030 mission statement (2019), up to the present day.
George Pins, Head of Climate Protection Department, Stadt Mannheim, said
‘We are on the way to a successful project with a great influence for the New Bauhaus Initiative.
I am pleased that Mannheim was selected as best practice, and that I was able to contribute to the case study as project lead for the Mannheim Pilot’.
It’s fantastic to have this recognition for Urban ReLeaf in this first year.
It’s also particularly timely to be reminded of our alignment to the principles of the New European Bauhaus as we plan our activities for 2024.
